ALL RIGHT! I finally managed to finish my one and only RuroKen Turtleneck T-Shirt! KENSHIN, HOW I'VE BEEN DYING TO DRAW YOU /shot I got a bit worried there because I was running out of ALL my freaking markers.
NEVERTHELESS, IMMA WEAR THIS BABY TO SCHOOL, AAAWWW YEEAAAHH /shot by teachers
Materials used: Fabric Markers 「Fevicryl Fabric Pens」 and Turtleneck Tee. Time Taken: 1 hour 30 minutes
F.A.Q:
Q: Did you DRAW dem pictures? A: HELL YEAH BRO.
Q: What markers did you use? A: I use Fevicryl Fabric Pens and DecoFabric Markers. I'll say they're pretty darn good.
Q: Do the pigments spread? And does it seep through the fabric? A: Don't worry, they don't. And the pigment doesn't seep through as long as you don't press much too hard. Then again you wouldn't have to care as long as you stuff in sheets of newspaper into your shirt before drawing.
Q: Is this water-proof and fade-proof? A: Yes. Wash away, folks. It's gonna stay right there.
Q: How long does it take to dry and how do you handle it? A: It dries within seconds. Once you're done, you can immediately wear it. Make you sure you wash it after 48-72 hours though. And whilst ironing it, turn it over before doing so.
I have a question. When you draw this, do you start off with the markers, or do you try laying down a preliminary sketch with something else? I want to know because I've been wanting to do my own shirts, but I can't do it right off the bat with markers. (I am NOT that good!)
I make this rough sketch right onto the shirt with a pencil which in turn becomes my guideline. Once I'm done with that, I start off with the markers and I add on bits and pieces. You should give it a try, its fun and I'm sure you'll be happy with your results! ^w^
